I prefer learning stuff through interesting ways, such us having trips, or watching movies, rather than simply doing research in the library, which is kind of boring. Critiquing advertisements is the first paper that I wrote for the new academic year and it brought me so much fun rather than “pressure”. We watched the Codes of Beauty in normal class (it was excited!) and I know many things about the intrinsic meanings of the ads. Now, looking at any piece of advertise, I can at least talk about something about it instead of keeping silence. Analyzing the ads, I know what the emotions, postures, or expressions that a photographer wants to portray by framing models. Nevertheless, I felt sad about the peer review part since I was absent in last class and I missed a really good chance to get feedback/ commons from other students. (It was all my bad.) Overall, the first paper’s experience was good, and hopefully, I would also enjoy the future essays!
I really want to see your magazine from China, I am really curious what their ads look like and how the women there are portrayed.
